Many banks and credit unions have recruited staff to develop and maintain either activity-based costs or some other allocation-based costs in either proprietary software or in 3rd party applications that were not developed for the banking industry. Many of these 3rd party applications require multiple person-hours to maintain cost drivers and activity-based costing rules. For those banks and credit unions that are managing cost data (or planning to do so) without the use of software, the maintenance tasks are even more formidable.
CorePROFIT has pioneered the development of usage-based costs referred to as behavior-based costs (see BBC solution). In addition it has developed and supports an intuitive software application that makes the development and maintenance of costs a less difficult task.
This software application (PCA) can run as either a stand-alone/pc-based application or can run in a networked/shared environment in either a LAN or server-based mode.
For those banks or credit unions that would prefer to either develop or maintain their costs without the use of outside services, PCA will accelerate and simplify these tasks. The software can be licensed to both small and large banks and credit unions and all requisite system and training documentation is included.
